My experience includes leading Professional Development workshops for educators, parents, and outside agencies on topics of sexual health, counselling, working with people with special needs and different abilities, and teaching a variety of subjects through circus (from PE and the Health curriculum to social sciences and physics!) with a counselling-informed foundation. My focus is engaging students, and supporting you not only in what your area of interest is, but in how you show up.

Whether you are an educator, counsellor, leader, or parent, I aim to design and deliver professional development workshops and keynote presentations that are impactful, authentic, and grounded in emotional intelligence suitable to your area of need. As a Keynote Speaker, I ensure my work with you is engaging through audience participation. I believe that learning is beyond the experience of listening, but for integration of new information, we need to apply lived experience and engagement. I also enjoy providing fun for my audiences, helping people in high stress work places remember the importance of laughter. As a Professional Development Workshop presenter, I ensure participants leave with concrete, practical material and resources. My own experiences in disappointing Pro D Days has led me to this point in my life, whereby I want to respect the incredible importance of Professional Development Days for Educators, and not waste a minute of your time. My goal is for you to leave saying "that was valuable and fun!"

What makes my approach different is the integration of counselling principles throughout the process. Many professionals experience self-doubt, repressed stress that can get in the way of clarity, and difficulty finding their authentic voice when learning something new. My programs aim to help participants practice the learning in my workshops so that the awkward and insecure part of learning is explored in a safer environment. Practicing teaching sexual health without this type of engagement can be risky, and my aim is to build capacity for confident boundaries and language that matches the curricular standards. I also provide resources that workshop participants can keep for reference and building on. Through a supportive and reflective framework, we address internal barriers while building practical presentation skills. This allows you to grow not only as an educator in expanding your skills and modalities, but as a confident and self-aware professional.

You will learn how to:

  • Separate personal values from the curriculum

  • Learn current language in the Health curriculum, the "dos and do nots" of Sexual Health Education

  • Communicate complex topics with safety, clarity and confidence

  • Create psychologically safe learning environments and fun ways to teach the curriculum

  • Build team based learning opportunities in your school, so the curriculum is more cohesive for students, no matter what subject you teach.

  • Build community and collegiality, which inevitably supports school culture and a greater sense of belonging.

  • Navigate challenging questions or group dynamics

  • Manage nerves and build authentic presence and impact.
